Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council signs two MoUs with UAE Accountability Authority, Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority

The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council has signed two landmark Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the UAE Accountability Authority and the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority. These agreements aim to advance the goals of Nafis program, fostering the development, training, and employment of Emirati talent in private sector audit firms and offices across federal and local levels. By encouraging both Emiratis and companies in the accounting sector to leverage the program’s benefits, these partnerships will play a pivotal role in shaping a skilled and competitive national workforce.

According to the MoUs, the two authorities will support Nafis program by enhancing the competitiveness of Emirati professionals and enabling them to secure key roles in audit firms registered with the authorities. This will be accomplished through tailored training and development initiatives designed to equip job-seeking Emiratis with the expertise required for seamless integration into the private sector.

The agreements also establish a framework for overseeing the employment of Emirati talent in registered audit firms and creating structured career paths. These pathways will focus on cultivating Emiratis for leadership, technical, and specialized roles, thereby driving excellence within these organizations.

H.E Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, highlighted the significance of the initiative:

“Signing these agreements aligns with our leadership’s vision of expanding qualitative and sustainable employment opportunities for Emiratis in the private sector. By providing access to jobs and training in a vital field like auditing, we are enabling Emirati talent to actively contribute to the nation’s development.”

H.E Mohammed Al Zaabi, Head of Audit Affairs Office, at the UAE Accountability Authority, underscored the strategic importance of human capital development:

“We firmly believe that investing in human capital is the cornerstone of sustainable progress. Through our partnership with Nafis, we aim to empower Emirati professionals to enter the auditing and accounting sectors with world-class skills, enhancing their ability to support the national economy and achieve the UAE’s vision of institutional excellence.”

H.E Wael Abdel Qader Mahmoud, Director General of the Audit and Monitoring Sector at the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority, praised the initiative’s innovative approach:

“This MoU reflects a bold step toward integrating national talent into the private sector, especially in a field where Emirati presence has been limited. By creating new career pathways and establishing training centers, we aim to build a comprehensive ecosystem that equips Emirati youth with the skills to excel, contributes to Abu Dhabi’s sustainable economy, and elevates standards in accounting and auditing.”

Nafis program has already made significant strides in providing training and professional development opportunities for Emirati talent. By aligning with the evolving needs of the UAE’s private sector and forming strategic partnerships, Nafis has successfully driven Emiratisation efforts, enabling greater national participation in critical industries and advancing the UAE’s vision for a thriving, inclusive economy.
