The MoU targets highly skilled Emirati professionals in advanced fields, including artificial intelligence, engineering, and manufacturing.
As part of the agreement, job and training opportunities will be allocated to qualified Emiratis in the Al Dhafra region this year. Additionally, ADNOC will offer 1,000 professional training placements for Emirati university graduates through Nafis’ “Khebraty” program in companies operating within its supply chain.
On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director & Group CEO of ADNOC, stated:
“In line with our leadership’s vision to invest in young Emirati talent, train, enhance their skills, and develop their capabilities, we are committed to preparing and empowering Emirati professionals. We take pride in the significant contributions and positive impact of ADNOC’s In-Country Value (ICV) program in this domain.”
He added, “Through this MoU with Nafis, we aim to provide more promising private-sector job opportunities for qualified Emiratis, enabling them to actively contribute to the UAE’s sustainable economic and industrial development. This aligns with our efforts to diversify our portfolio and ensure a secure, reliable, and responsible energy supply for our global customers.”
This collaboration builds on the achievements of ADNOC’s ICV program, which has successfully created 11,500 job opportunities for skilled Emiratis since its launch in 2018. The MoU will increase the total job opportunities ADNOC facilitates in its supply chain’s private sector companies to 25,000 by 2028.
ADNOC is accelerating its efforts to develop national talent by expanding the scope of its ICV program.
H.E. Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, said:
“This MoU with ADNOC reaffirms our commitment to empowering young Emiratis and enhancing their integration into the workforce through genuine strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors.”
He added:
“We aim to create more opportunities for UAE nationals and ensure their active participation in the country’s economic growth and development. In line with our leadership’s vision, we are dedicated to empowering Emirati talent and strengthening their contribution to the UAE’s sustainable development. By encouraging private sector companies to prioritize hiring Emiratis, we are not only investing in the future of our youth but also fostering economic sustainability through a diverse workforce.”
As part of the next phase of ADNOC’s ICV program, the company is expanding its scope to build more partnerships with local and global companies. This aims to enable the next generation of Emirati entrepreneurs, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and national talent to support the UAE’s self-reliance and economic self-sufficiency.
Targeted sectors include advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, manufacturing, and low-carbon solutions.
It is worth noting that in recent years, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council and ADNOC have signed several agreements to provide promising job opportunities for highly skilled Emirati talent within the supply chain companies supporting ADNOC’s operations.
